"Three Guizhou Men" first opened in an alley behind the Jianguo Hotel a couple of years ago, turning Guizhou cuisine into a popular cuisine among expats. The newest location, near the Workers’ Stadium, which is in nicer digs, is their fifth branch. The food served here is a fusion of the different regions of Guizhou, but with less oil, said Mo, the owner. The dishes are one notch less spicy than what is typically offered in his home province. 'Beef on fire', pieces of cooked beef placed over chives on a grid that sits on a burning bed of coals, seems to be the most commonly ordered dish by expats in town, while sour fish soup is the favorite of Chinese diners.
